2011 is looking like it's going to be a great year for stealth games. With at least three major stealth titles and a ton of games that have some sort of stealth element this year is going to be amazing.
Unrevealed Assassin's Creed
We know there will be another AC game in 2011 but we don't what it will be or even if it will be a traditional AC game. Expect to hear more on January 18.
Batman: Arkham City
This is quite possibly the most anticipated game of 2011, not just the most anticipated stealth game either. Everyone loved Arkham Asylum and with the awesome trailer and gorgeous screens it's hard to think that Arkham City will do any less than blow minds.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising
While this isn't exactly a stealth game, it is a spin-off of one. Kojima Productions has confirmed that there will be stealthy ways to play and the ability to play without killing anyone. Gamestop audaciously set a release date of June 3 which has now been changed to November 1.
From here on we don't have any full blown stealth games but we do have games which feature the option and some that let you play almost the entire game in a stealthy fashion.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
This highly anticipated sequel mixes RPG with FPS and adds a little bit of stealth to spice things up. The amount of player customization means that there is almost always a stealth option. Not only that but the game looks beautiful and is expected to release in March.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
This tactical shooter was shown off at last year's E3 with quite a bit of sneaking around through the battlefield. While not much has been seen of the game since, it is scheduled for a Q4 launch date.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Ever since the release of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in 2002, the ES series has had a fairly good stealth system. There is currently no reason to think that Skyrim won't follow this trend which makes it the most stealth friendly game without being a actual stealth game. At 2010's VGAs they announced the release date of 11/11/11.
Crysis 2
Building upon the work of the original, this game is filled with sharp detail and is the first time the series is coming to consoles. Crysis gives you the ability to become invisible and sneak behind unsuspecting enemies in New York. Crysis 2 has a March 22 launch date.
