Analyst for Janco Partners, Mike Hickey, expects Ubisoft to report "flat" sales for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This leads him to believe that the Assassin's Creed series probably shouldn't be annualized.
Hickey says, "There is no confirmation that a major Assassin’s Creed game will ship in fiscal '12 or that the market is necessarily receptive to the franchise being iterated annually, with AC: Brotherhood sales potentially flat this holiday."
He claims there was no confirmation but we do have Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, quoted as saying there will something in 2011. Now whether the market is receptive to Assassin's Creed every year is another story. One we truly won't know until we see what Ubisoft has to offer in 2011. Hickey refers to "flat" sales because Brotherhood has sold 7.7 million compared to AC II's 8 million. One thing's for sure: they're not dropping Assassin's Creed anytime soon as it's their biggest franchise.
