The trailer consists of pre-rendered animation from cgi (computer graphic imagery) studio Blur. Meaning, there is no actual gameplay to be found anywhere in this trailer. It does, however, show off a new tool in Batman's arsenal, the smoke bomb. At the end of the trailer it's unveiled who sent all those armed men after Batman, Hugo Strange.
Strange is a highly intelligent scientist who creates monstrosities by injecting human victims with chemicals he creates. As we see in the trailer he also manages to find out Batman's true identity.
