Metal Gear Solid 3DS Will Use Street Pass

In a video message Hideo Kojima revealed that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3DS will use the Nintendo 3DS's Street Pass feature.

"In Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater, we believe the feeling of actually hiding in the shadows and other such areas will have even more impact with 3D video. We're also looking into using StreetPass functionality for exchanging data with other players even when you're not playing the game," Kojima explained.

For those of you who don't know what Street Pass is; it is a way for the 3DS to communicate wirelessly and passively. Meaning that you won't have to be using the 3DS for Street Pass to work. Instead the 3DS will share game related information, about the games you've played, with other people and vice versa just by walking by the other person's 3DS. Check out the video below to see it in theoretical action.
