Assassin's Creed II won action/adventure Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks 2010 awards. Second place was taken by Batman: Arkham Asylum, and third place was given to Red Dead Redemption. It almost won Ultimate Game of the Year but was overshadowed by Mass Effect 2. Personally I would have preferred AC II but you can't win them all.
