With the March 22 PC release date announcement of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood also comes news that the always-on Digital Rights Management (DRM) won't be used with the game. Ubisoft also revealed a digital "Deluxe" edition and laid out there recommended PC specifications.
The DRM on Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will not require a constant Internet connection, instead the game will check into Ubisoft's servers once upon start up. The DRM was a problem before because if you ever lost the connection to their servers while playing the game it would suddenly be paused. Ubisoft has also addressed this issue on some of their older games as previously reported.
The PC version will include the soon to be released Da Vinci Disappearance as well as Animus Update 1.0 and 2.0. It will be available for $50 in retail and as a digital download. Ubisoft will also release a Digital Deluxe Edition which will include everything in the $50 version of the game along with 2 multiplayer characters, 2 singleplayer maps, 1 skin, and some multimedia content. This version of the game will be download-only and will cost you $60. All versions of the game will be available on March 22.
