Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, stated, "pre-orders are the strongest ever seen, already 20 percent above those from the same period last year, even before the awards announced following E3." That's 20 percent above Assassin's Creed 2 pre-orders, a game that's sold over 7 million copies.
He also said, "Assassin's Creed Brotherhood should allow us to reaffirm our position as one of the industry's best multiplayer developers." While Ubisoft generally produces quality games, I don't think they're particularly known for their multiplayer.
To entice investors Guillemot also noted that Brotherhood will have no direct competition this holiday season.
