March 22 came and went but we saw no release of the Splinter Cell trilogy. Now Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the trilogy won't be available until June.
In February, Amazon had listed Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD with a delayed release date of June 21. Ubisoft confirmed on March 22 that this will indeed be the new release date for the trilogy. Seems Amazon was right.
Why the delay, you ask? Well, Ubisoft didn't say. There were rumors that it might be coming to the Xbox 360, but if Amazon still doesn't have a listing for the 360 version it's probably not true.

I wonder if it was delayed in order to be closer to an announcement of some kind?
ReplyDeleteSplinter Cell Conviction to PS3, perhaps? None of the Splinter Cell games have ever been XBOX exclusives for long. I guess we'll see?
I enjoyed Conviction on my XBOX, I hope I'll be able to play some Co-Op with my PS3 exclusive friends soon.
The release is a couple of weeks after E3 so... maybe. Anything's possible.
