Hideo Kojima Promoted

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, will be moving up the corporate ladder at Konami, as stated in a news release.

He will take on the role of Vice President, Corporate Officer, effective April 1st, in the digital division of Konami. What this means for the Metal Gear Solid series, and whether it means that he will continue making games, is still unclear. This may even change how often we see Kojima at press events.

Kojima was scheduled to announce a PS3 and NGP game at E3. There is no word on whether that will still be announced.

I'm sure it doesn't mean anything in the short term for Metal Gear.

I'm confident he'll still preform the same functions at the up coming entertainment venues.

We'll have to wait and see what it means in the long term, however.
