Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD may be adding features like 3D and trophies but it's also removing some important pieces of these classic Splinter Cell games like online multiplayer and co-op.
Alex Monney, PR coordinator at Ubisoft, revealed that the trilogy will have 3D, as well as have support for trophies which should be a nice addition that will challenge the player. While that's nice he also revealed that the online Vs. multiplayer won't be included in Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. The co-op that could be played offline also won't be included in Chaos Theory.
He goes on to say that the PS3 port is being based on the PC versions of each game as "they provided the best quality." It's interesting that this is revealed now because the screens that are posted along with this article look considerably better than the ones that have been previously released. This IS good though because I've said before the game didn't look much improved. Now the jaggies seem completely gone and the textures look far more detailed.
The trilogy was delayed and expected to release on June 21, but when asked when the game will be released he said, "No firm release date yet, but we'll let you know once we have it!" Amazon still lists the game for June 21.
